A couple of weeks ago, an episode of Rallying Cry didn’t make it past the VSSystem.com editors due to some - shall we say - slightly riské language and references on the featured blog. Personally I thought that was rather harsh, but it’s not my call. I thought that the blog in question deserved it’s moment in the sun, so while my star may not be as bright as the mothership, I give you the missing edition of Rallying Cry featuring Aaron “Onyxweapon” Mead:
OK, I’m incandescent with rage right now. Last month I implored UDEEurope to feature Vs. System in their monthly blog / newsletter. I even said, if you don’t have to to add Vs content to the newsletter, I would offer to submit something. If not, then how about just mention that you can visit this site for Vs related news. The response - we got, what I consider to be a patronising mention in June’s blog:

Well this months newsletter is out and not a mention. Nothing about Vs. System. nothing about this site. This, when we’ve just had the inaugural World Championships! Right now I’m so angry that I’m considering shutting down this site. I was considering it due to financial reasons, but was saved by a magnificent offer from a very kind friend. But now, I’m considering passing up on the offer, purely out of principle.
I’m not contacting UDE about this right now as the new head of European OP is a very nice guy and very helpful, and I don’t want to spoil the communications we’ve had previously with a rage filled Email written in the heat of the moment. Why the hell should I bother?
Patrick Yapjoco runs what is quite possibly my favourite Vs. System website on the net. He’s based out of the Edgeworld store in Costa Mesa, California and boast an impressive Vs. System pedigree.
His website may look a little “basic” in it’s design, but once you delve into the content, you realise that it is the absolute proof that you should not judge a book by it’s cover.
I’ve started a new personal Wordpress blog where I’ll put up random thoughts, Vs content and other random crap. Occasionally if I think it’s something you might be interested in, I’ll link to it here.
